BANDUNG CITY
BANDUNG is the capital of West Java province in Indonesia. It is the country's third largest city and the second largest metropolitan area in Indonesia with a population of 2.4 million. Bandung is located 768 meters (2,520 ft) above sea level, approximately 140 km south east of Jakarta, and it has cooler temperatures all year-round than most other cities in Indonesia. Beautified with luxurious and historical buildings, hotels, restaurants, cafes and European boutiques, the city of Bandung has been well-known as Parijs van Java (Dutch): "The Paris of Java". Bandung city is easily accessible from other major cities. A shuttle bus is available every 30 minutes between Jakarta International Airport and Bandung city taking 3-4 hours on the highway. Direct flights from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Bandung city are also available 3 times a day.
